Kabongo is a clothing brand that creates premium casual wear and unique design pieces. Based out of Helsinki, Finland.

Kabongo was founded by Antèro Kabongo, a self-taught designer who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His love for clothes and fashion ignited when he was 8-year-old. Once Antero got his colorful American Indian suit in Congo, it became his favourite.

When his parents, a Congolese father and a Finnish mother moved to Finland, Antèro’s love for clothing grew through his Aunt, who is a Finnish based Artisan designer. She inspired Antèro to study the art of clothing design and craft.

Antèro’s Congolese-Finnish background has made him an explorer and interpreter of cultures, which influences the narrative of his work as a designer. Kabongo creates garments that merge inspiration and visual commentary from various subcultures around the world into clothing that uses textures and styles that make you feel elite everyday.
